We got up between 2 and 3 am to a slightly rainy Sunday.
We wiped down the bike, loaded up, put on the rain suits and away we went from Medina, OH and now we are sitting here in Brooks, KY. :)
Our first adventure was meeting a very good friend of mine, her husband and her cute pooch. I have known her for quite a few years from the internet. Her name is Joan Hawley, her husbands name is Michael and her pooch is Honey. I am a moderator of her Lazy Girl Design Yahoo Group. You can read more about the group here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LazyGirlDesigns/
and here is her website: http://www.lazygirldesigns.com/ and her blog:

What a joy it was to meet Joan. I can honestly say that she is just as sweet, kind, and lovable as she comes across on her yahoo group. She offered coffee, visited and laughed with us, showed us her business ventures in the garage and offered us water or anything we needed when we went to head out. I have heard Joan on her videos and she has such a wonderful speaking voice, so calming, so precise and easy to listen too.
I found out among other things we have in common that we both love to read manuals. LOL.
Her husband was a very nice guy. Very kind to us and listened intently to our weird stories. :) Thanks Michael. Honey (the pooch) greeted us very excitedly and sent us off with a little lick to my hand. :) What a sweet family. Thanks Joan.
PS: Michael, Albert says you make a good cup of coffee.

At least you remembered the pictures with Joan and family - I forgot when I was there. Now Lish has to visit, too - and then Joan needs to plan our "company retreat" so we can all get together.

Hi Karissa,
ReplyDeleteI will be posting MORE photos if I have time on my photo site. Putting tons of photos on the blog posts would be hard for some to download to read.

Eddie,
ReplyDeleteWe are having a blast. So many things to see and not enough time to see them all. We are just picking what we think we would like. We have met some great people on this trip. Bikers and non-bikers see us and stop and visit. Sometimes for too long. Well have a good day. I got to get around and wipe down the bike before we head out to Sturgis this morning.
Take Care,
Albert
