Love the pictures - got through day 10 so have many more to go... Isn't it great seeing the different landscapes and wildlife alongside or on the highway...?
I don't remember going through the 'tight' tunnel near Mt Rushmore but sure is neat... The carvings in the mountain are unreal - same with the various mountain ranges - awesome...
I'm so happy the two of you got to travel to the places you did and 'expect' to read of other trips...
Albert and I started dating back in 1970 at ages 14 and 15 and then married in 1973. We have two sons, two daughters in law and two grandsons. :)
We love to ride the Harley.

Peggy,
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing to see how the landscape changed from state to state.
The tunnels were on Iron Mountain Road along with the "pig tail" bridges. I think there were a total of 3 of them and 2 framed Mt.Rushmore.
We are in the process of researching Route 66 and plan on riding it from Chicago to California next August.
Take care and keep in touch.
Albert
